During open forum John McLoone, publisher of the Cottage Grove Journal, asked council to reconsider a consent agenda item designating the St. Paul Pioneer Press as the city’s official newspaper. Cottage Grove Journal is a weekly newspaper published in Hastings. Council approved the consent agenda.
Mayor Bailey announced that a Chase Bank is being constructed in the fenced-in area between Culver’s and US Bank near the intersection of Hardwood Avenue South and 80th Street South.
