How To Support WCGA

Have you thought about making a gift to WCGA? These are ways to support WCGA LWV.

One-Time Donations
Click on a “donate” button on the website through PayPal, using a credit card. And we still accept checks in the mail!

Monthly Gifts
Maybe you prefer to donate monthly. We are investigating setting up recurring credit card donations and hope to set this up in the near future. Otherwise, you can donate through your bank bill-paying service.  

  • Type in or search for the payee as League of Women Voters of Woodbury Cottage Grove Area (or LWV WCGA), 

  • Attention Ellen Pearson, Treasurer, 8840 Spring View Way, Woodbury, MN 55125, 

  • Choose the monthly amount and date. 

You will see this amount on your bank statement.  No postage stamp needed!

IRA Required Minimum Distributions
At a certain age, the IRS requires a minimum distribution from your IRA every year. You can make non-taxable gifts to qualified 501(c)(3) charities directly from your IRA using this required minimum distribution.  Doing so may have very favorable tax benefits! Planned Gifts
If you are considering making a planned gift or bequest to LWV, such as through a will or trust, Donor Advised Fund, or beneficiary designation, you can find more information on the LWV US website about how to do this: https://plannedgiving.lwv.org/ 


LWV WCGA is happy to accept small donations of this nature, but larger donations may be more appropriately given to LWV MN or LWV US. If you have questions about this, please reach out to the WCGA board of directors.
